Privacy policy

Effective 23 October 2026

Qalil doesn’t collect any data about you. There are no accounts, and everything the app stores stays on your iPhone. The developer can’t see any of it.

What Qalil stores on your phone

To work, Qalil keeps a small database on your iPhone. It holds:

This never leaves your phone. Qalil doesn’t ask for your name, email or anything else about you, and there’s nothing to sign in to.

If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, iOS includes Qalil’s data in that backup, as it does for every app. That backup belongs to you and Apple. Qalil can’t access it.

Screen Time and the apps you pick

You choose which apps to pause with Apple’s own picker. Apple doesn’t tell Qalil which apps you picked. It gives Qalil opaque tokens that stand for them. Qalil never sees app names, websites or how you use your phone.

Those tokens and the daily schedule are kept on your iPhone, so that Qalil’s Screen Time extensions can pause the apps at the right time. The pausing is done by iOS on your device. Apple’s Screen Time framework is built so this information stays on the device.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Qalil’s notifications are scheduled and shown by your iPhone itself. There’s no push server, and no notification token is sent anywhere.

What Qalil doesn’t do

Deleting your data

Delete Qalil from your iPhone and all of its data goes with it: your settings, reading history, the apps you picked and the schedule. There’s nothing stored anywhere else to delete.

Children

Qalil isn’t directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes (for example, if crash reporting is added), this page will be updated before that version of the app is released. Each change will be listed below with its date.
